Additional Items: Depending on the performance for the year and the role cast, students may be responsible for providing their own costumes.
Each year, usually in February, the AMS Drama Club presents a junior version of a Broadway musical. Students sing, act, and dance to bring this production to life on our AMS stage. Students involved in theatre learn self-confidence, perseverance, cooperation, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills - while having fun along the way. We start each year in September. We meet each Tuesday at 7:35 am, before school. Students can join us, commitment-free, for the first few weeks. Auditions follow during the free weeks. After auditions, the cast list is announced. A full calendar of all practices is given to the cast to help students and parents plan the level of commitment needed for their casted role. All scripts, music, and dance routines will be given for practice and memorization. AMS Drama Club members are expected to shine at AMS both on and off the stage.
