Textbooks & Instructional Materials Inspection Procedure (Parent Feedback Form)
- All textbooks/instructional materials are available for viewing by parents who have students enrolled in Arlington Community Schools.

Feedback may be provided on instructional materials/textbooks through the following procedure:
- First, the parent/guardian must work with the assigned teacher to provide feedback and resolve the issue.
- Second, if the parent/guardian and teacher cannot resolve the issue, then, the parent/guardian should schedule a call or conference with the local school administration to provide feedback and resolve any issues with instructional materials or textbooks.

Third, if the parent/guardian and the local school administration cannot resolve the issue, a feedback form should be completed and submitted to the Chief of Academics for review. Access the feedback form here.

Prohibited Concepts Procedure (Parent Feedback Form)
If you believe a prohibited concept has been taught or shared in a classroom, you may provide your feedback through the following procedure:

- Second, if the parent/guardian and teacher cannot resolve the issue, then, the parent/guardian should schedule a call or conference with the local school administration to provide feedback and resolve any issues.

- 2025-26 – Social Studies, World Languages and CTE
- 2026-27 – English Language Arts and CTE
- 2027-28 – CTE Only

Vendor Roles & Presentations
Vendor Roles & Presentations
- Vendors may or may not present an overview of their products to the textbook adoption selection committee members.
- The Chief of Academics has the right to deny any vendor presentation based on the district’s goal and vision for teaching and learning.
- No vendor may contact any committee member directly. Any vendor questions must be directed to the elementary, middle and high school supervisors.
