Arlington Community Schools has been named the #3 Top Workplace in the Memphis-Metro region and will be featured in an upcoming publication in the Commercial Appeal on December 15th. Overall, ACS was designated as a Large Employer Standout, ranking in the top three workplaces in the large division, which includes organizations that employ more than 350 people. ACS was the only school district ranking in the top three.
Earlier this year, the district’s nearly 480 employees completed an anonymous survey that asked about the district’s culture and climate, compensation and benefits and the overall direction of the school district. Those results were compared to survey results from employees in other organizations and businesses across the region.
“I want to humbly thank our employees for displaying this vote of confidence in ACS and a first-year superintendent, especially considering the times that we are in,” said Superintendent Jeff Mayo. “It’s an understatement to say this school year has been demanding and unlike any other, and our employees have shown what it is to truly be a Top Workplace. They promote positivity, uplift their coworkers, and most importantly, they’ve been there for students when it mattered most. This recognition is a celebration of their attitude of working together to make this entire system a better place.”
