Jenna Demmons named January's Patriot Bank Student of the Month

Congratulations to Jenna Demmons for being named the Patriot Bank Student of the Month for January! Jenna was selected by the Arlington High School World Languages Department for exemplifying the tenants of the Portrait of an ACS Graduate, which include Communicate Effectively, Collaborate Intentionally, Cultivate Creativity, Be Resilient and Lead with Empathy. Here's what the selection committee had to say about Jenna:

Jenna’s dedication to her honors, dual, and AP-level classes makes her a great example for her peers, as does her work with the children at St. Jude in AHS’ Princesses for Patients program.  She is a natural leader, showing humility and kindness as the President of our Student Council. She has been with the student council since her first year in high school and very quickly made her impact on the organization. As president, she has been absolutely instrumental in getting the council reorganized and structured following the COVID years. She’s simply a go-getter.

Jenna is also generous with her time, willing to help any student she meets. She tutors students that need help with their work; as a senior, she interacts with freshmen and is open to students of all grade levels. Jenna is welcoming and accepting and gets to know students of all backgrounds because she wants them to feel accepted at Arlington. She is a great example of Arlington High’s Portrait of a Graduate!

The Patriot Bank Student of the Month program will recognize one student in the months of September - April. One of those eight students will then be selected for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Patriot Bank.
