Arlington Community Schools is proud that all of its schools have been awarded the Tennessee Purple Star School Award! This designation is given to military-friendly schools that show a major commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation's military.
Twenty-seven schools statewide earned the Purple Star in 2023, four of which are right here in Arlington! To be eligible, each school had to have an ongoing point of contact for military families, complete a professional development series that focuses on helping military families transition to the community and create a webpage dedicated to resources for these families.
ACS has had a long-standing relationship with the Navy base in Millington and the service representatives assigned there, and we're proud to display this Purple Star for future military families in search of a new home.
