The Social and Transition Specialist serves the social and emotional concerns of students. My role is to provide counseling sessions to students and address barriers to learning. While the primary role of the Social and Transition Specialist is to counsel students both individually and in small groups with mental, social, emotional or physical needs, we also plan district-wide mental health initiatives and partner with local agencies to assist families in need.
