Welcome to the AES Library
Our library's mission is to serve as a focal point for academic success. The goal is to assist all students to become effective, independent users of information in various formats. The library seeks to provide a safe learning environment in which the love of reading is promoted and practiced to form life-long learners.

Book Selection
The AES Library provides access to a variety of books to spark imagination and to develop knowledge, comprehension, and vocabulary skills along with supporting the academic curriculum.
The Follett Destiny Catalog app is available on student iPads. Students are able to browse for books of interest and see what is available in the AES Library.
Flipster is an app that offers a variety of magazines to support students at all grade levels. Students have access to magazines such as Chickadee, Highlights, Ranger Rick, Sports Illustrated, and much more.
Sora is a new ebook app that will be introduced to Grade 5 beginning in the Spring 2022. The plan is to continuously build the collection by including additional grades each consecutive year until a wide selection of books is available for all grade levels.
Classes
The Library serves Pre-K-5 students on a bi-weekly schedule with open circulation daily. Library skills along with ELA skills are incorporated into instructional lessons throughout the year.
Book Fair
Each Fall, AES hosts a Scholastic Book Fair as a Library fundraiser. This is such an exciting time for all. Teachers attend a Preview to make wish lists for their classes. Students attend a Preview during their Library class, make wish lists, and participate in contests. It is a fun-filled family affair! Your support is appreciated as we continue to enrich the lives of students through the love of reading!
Author Visit
Each Spring, AES is fortunate enough to host an Author Visit. This is a rewarding experience offering first-hand inspiration, creativity, and storytelling. Reading and writing are encouraged and promoted in a fun, motivational way! This experience will last a lifetime for our students. A book pre-sale is offered prior to the event so students have the opportunity to purchase books to be autographed by the author.
