For the 6th consecutive year, Arlington Community Schools has been voted by its employees as a Top Workplace® in the Memphis-Metro region! Among all the businesses to receive this year’s honor, ACS ranked as the #2 Top Workplace and was the only school district represented in the program’s Top 3 Employer Standouts. This is the sixth year ACS has ranked in the Top 3 in the Large Business Category, which includes businesses that employ more than 350 people.

Families move to Arlington for the schools, and that wouldn’t be the case without our administrators, teachers and all support staff who work every single day to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for students, parents and the entire school community. The list of Top Workplaces is based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous survey, which more than 500 ACS employees answered earlier this year. The survey asked about the district’s culture and climate, compensation and benefits, innovation, execution, job meaningfulness, among other indicators. Those results were then compared with other organizations and businesses across the region to formulate the list of Top Workplaces.
Only 44 companies in the Memphis-Metro region made this year’s list. ACS employees pointed to the district's employee appreciation and recognition programs, benefits, and pay, which averages among the top ten highest districts in Tennessee, as reasons why the district is a Top Workplace.
ACS and the entire list of Memphis Top Workplaces will be featured in a special section of The Commercial Appeal on Sunday, December 17th.
