Kindergarten Staggered Week
Welcome, Class of 2035! We can't wait to meet our youngest Bulldogs and Tigers! It's important to know the first week for kindergartners is different from other grade levels. Both Arlington & Donelson Elementary Schools have a staggered week, meaning your kindergartner will only attend one designated day the first week of school.
The first week of school can be overwhelming for many kindergartners, and a staggered week gives them a great opportunity to get acclimated to the building, their new teacher and classroom procedures.
Staggered Week Schedule
All kindergarteners will be assigned one day to attend during the staggered week. Kindergarten students do not attend the first day of school on Monday, August 8th. You will be notified of your assigned staggered day by the end of the day on Thursday, August 4th.
All kindergartners will report 5 days a week beginning the week of Monday, August 15th.
